New Cameras

New Film Camera A

New Film Camera B

I'm not a collector. I'm also not interested in playing cameras as toy. I see camera as a tool to capture my feeling. I prefer the process can make me feel good. After trying different compact film cameras, I still have a feeling that something is missing. Each of the cameras is great in different ways. I like them all. But I don't want to keep them all. I have a rule to myself. I can only keep one as my tool to bring along with me wherever I go. Should I keep on searching? I have been trying to. Now I have two new cameras in my hands. Both have been discontinued for a long time. I was lucky to be able to buy them new in box. They belong to different market segments. One is cheap and another one is not. I couldn't help testing their performances ASAP. I'll write my experiences and about the results later. Now let me post 1 photo from each of them. Guess what cameras they are. (Hint: Made in Japan.) Which one do you like more? :)

  1. My vote goes to Camera B, the contrast and wider angle are why it works better for me.

  2. Thanks for your vote, Cristi! Me too. I prefer the picture by Camera B. What is Camera B? Yashica T5D. Camera A? Contax T2! The result surprised me indeed.

  3. My Vote also b,

o.k b is a little bit darker but in my eyes b has better textures, a sharp picture.

Yashica T5 ? I have the T5 and the T3 and love both.

  4. Hello,

wether the lens is a 38mm or a 35mm wideangel, i prefer picture A, because most i like it more matte, not so vivid or shining. Your pictures are very interesting. Sensitive and emotional.

    All best, titus
