Pole Fishing

I always think I'm good at fishing because I have a lot of patience. However, I've heard that once one is interested in it, one will be addicted to it. I believe it and I just can't afford the time. So I dare not try it.

I took this picture when I was walking along a road beside a river after work. I was curious about the sticks in the water. What was their use? Were they just garbage that was disposed that way? Why did the men fish near the sticks? Didn't the sticks affect their fishing? I didn't ask them. I kept a distance from them just like I've been keeping a distance from fishing.
